Getting Started

Sypht works in three steps: dump what's on your mind (voice or text), let AI categorize and prioritize everything, then ask "what should I do next?" based on your available time and energy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the free plan work?

You get 5 AI actions per month for free. An AI action includes brain dumps, voice processing, daily planning, step generation, and "what now?" suggestions. Your counter resets at the start of each calendar month.

What counts as an AI action?

Each of the following counts as one AI action:

  • Typing a brain dump and having AI categorize it
  • Recording a voice dump and having AI extract items
  • Generating a daily plan ("Plan my day")
  • Getting a "what now?" suggestion
  • Generating steps for an item

The trial dump during onboarding does not count toward your limit.

Where is my data stored?

All your tasks, categories, and steps are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly export it. When you use AI features, only the text of your dump is sent to the AI for processing — it is not stored.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings in the app and tap "Manage Subscription," or go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iPhone. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Can I customize categories and locations?

Yes. Go to Settings > Categories or Settings > Locations. You can add, remove, and reorder both. The AI adapts to your custom categories when sorting new items.

Does voice recording store my audio?

No. Voice is processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework for transcription. No audio is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. Only the resulting text is used.

I lost my data after reinstalling. Can I recover it?

Since data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the app removes your data. We recommend using the Export feature in Settings to back up your items periodically.

Troubleshooting

AI features aren't working

Make sure you have an active internet connection. AI processing requires a network connection to work. If the issue persists, try closing and reopening the app.

Voice recording isn't picking up audio

Check that you've granted microphone and speech recognition permissions. Go to your iPhone's Settings > Sypht and make sure both Microphone and Speech Recognition are enabled.

My subscription isn't being recognized

Try tapping "Restore Purchase" on the upgrade screen. If that doesn't work, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to subscribe, then restart the app.
